Getting Started

Welcome to the Anear Developer Portal. This is where you register and curate the Apps you publish on the Anear live-events platform.

Use your existing Anear account credentials (username or email + password). Your account must have the developer role. The portal signs you in against the Anear API and acts on your behalf for the duration of your session.

Create an App

  1. Click New App on your dashboard.
  2. Give your app a short name (3-64 characters, unique) — this is its identifier.
  3. Use the AI Copywriter to generate a tagline and description, or write your own.
  4. Use the AI Icon Studio to generate several icon options from a prompt, then click the one you like best.
  5. Choose a store and, optionally, Publish globally now to immediately activate the app and create an active global zone so it appears in the global apps list.
  6. Configure participation limits and capabilities (hosted, open house, spectators, and more).
  7. Click Create app.

What happens behind the scenes

Creating an app provisions the same records the legacy create_global_app.rb script created by hand:

  • an App record owned by you (the developer)
  • a StoreRight granting you publish rights to the chosen store
  • an active global Zone (when you choose to publish globally)
